Roles: Refilleries 

Refilleries on the Periva marketplace sell products in refillable containers / packaging that are returned, cleaned and refilled. 

Refillery products can range from everyday household items such as snacks, pantry items, beverages, dairy products, cleaning supplies, gas cylinders and more - anything that uses refillable containers / packaging

Refilleries can be home-based, or run out of a commercial/retail space. Please check local laws in your area to see what you can and cannot sell in refilled containers and from where. There are high level guides to cottage food laws for most states on the Periva Blog

Periva is not responsible for each seller and product’s legal compliance. If you see a listing on the app that’s in violation of the rules, please message Periva Support (Account > Messages).

Periva is a comprehensive technology platform built to power all aspects of Refilleries: 

Operations: Inventory management built for circular businesses, container/packaging tracking, container returns, non-return charging, refilling, preparing orders and more. 

Logistics: Driver management, vehicle management, dispatching, optimized routing, pickup management, notifications to customers and more. 

Ecommerce: Marketplace that serves your customers at no extra cost, while bringing you many more customers looking for similar services. Set delivery and pickup days/time windows, zip codes / distance radius unavailable days, product start/stop dates and more.

1. Get started
Select Refillery as a role when you sign up. If you have already signed up, you can go to Account > Select roles and turn on Refillery as a role. 

2. Set up your Refillery store The app will walk you through setting up various aspects of your store, and how you will serve your customers. This includes setting up delivery zones, pickup locations, shipping preferences, dates you are unavailable and more. 

3. Add products 
Periva has powerful features custom built for local Refilleries to create products and services customers will love, including: Adding images, lead times, subscriptions, special prices, volume discounts, setting future availability, product attributes, ingredients lists, inventory management and more. 

If you are an existing Refillery looking to join Periva, you can send us your product list (and other relevant details about your operations), and we will be happy to upload them en masse to your Periva store and set it up for you. Please export your product list from your current system and email it to support@periva.com - and we will start working on it. 

Shopify stores: If you are already on Shopify, Periva can live sync with your Shopify store within minutes. Simply follow the instructions here.  

If you already have or expect to have wholesale suppliers not on Periva yet, you can invite them to Periva as Creators and send them your Referral code. They can quickly set up their stores and products, marking them as ‘Wholesale’ - making them visible to you (you must be in their delivery/pickup/shipping areas).  

All transactions between you and the Creators (and consumers) you invite will incur no Periva fee forever if they use your Referral code at sign up. Learn more about this on the Fee and the Wallet guides. 

Wholesale products are available only to accounts that have a seller role turned on. 

4. Operations 
The Operations section of your Seller dashboard is where you can set up drivers, vehicles, find your orders and prepare them. 

Periva also features sophisticated functionalities to power a zero-waste operation: Enabling a Refillery using reusable/refillable containers to commission, fill/refill and log them when they get returned, automatically charge customers for non-return and more - laying the foundation of the zero-waste economy of the future

5. Logistics 
Periva provides everything you need to help you make sure your products and services reach your customers in an efficient and joyful manner. Create and manage automatically optimized delivery routes, assigning drivers and vehicles, informing pickup customers that their orders are ready, organizing your shipping orders, communicating with customers if there are issues, and more - Periva gives you all of these sophisticated technologies and functionality in 1 app - for no monthly fee, in an easy to use mobile interface. 

6. Share & tell 
While Periva promotes you and your products in the areas you serve, nothing beats you spreading the word. Social media, local listservs, putting up posters and flyers in public places, yard signs are some good ideas for letting people in your area know about your business. 

No fee applies for your customers: The Periva fee for all orders placed forever by all new customers who use your Referral Code to join Periva will be Zero. Learn more on the Fees guide.


Ordering from Refilleries on Periva is as simple as Add the item to Cart, choosing your delivery/pickup options and checking out. 

Products/services from Refilleries will appear in the shopping/search areas of the app for anyone whose address is within the geographical areas defined by the seller. Pickup only items will be visible in a 10 mile radius around your location. 

Yes, you can be both a Refillery and a Customer

Refilleries go through a set of stringent steps before they can go live on the marketplace. 
Products refilled and sold by Refilleries are sourced by them, or from Creators and Brands on the Periva marketplace offering wholesale items in bulk. Refilleries can be Creators and Sharers as well.
