Periva Reusables Ecosystem: Closed Loop
In Closed Loops, Reusables are strictly associated with one business, and cannot be returned or exchanged at another business.
Examples of the types of business for whom Closed Loop uses apply include makers of branded products sold in Reusables, zero-waste grocery delivery services, in house cafeteria from where Reusables don't leave the area, and more. The defining characteristic of Closed Loop is that the Reusable have branding of the seller on it - hence they cannot be used by another business.
How Periva Reusables Tags work in a Closed Loop:
1. Download the Periva App
2. Create a business account on Periva, or sign in
If in the US, it is possible your establishment already has a listing on Periva. Search to find it and tap 'Claim' to own it. If not, you can proceed to sign up from scratch.
3. Start a Free Trial
Search for 'Reusables Tags' in the app and order a free trial to experience the benefits of Periva Reusables Tags firsthand. After the free trial you can purchase Tags in packs of 100 for 10 cents each or opt for a digital file if you prefer to print your own.
4. Attach Tags to Reusables
Apply tags to your Reusable items, ensuring they are securely attached.
5. Commission New Reusables
On the Periva mobile app where you have signed up and signed in as a seller, go to Account -> Business dashboard -> Operations -> Commission. Select the type of Reusable you are commissioning, and scan the Tags that are on that type of Reusable. You can rapidly scan multiple Tags and commission them in bulk. You can also send us the range of the Tags you have received and we can bulk commission them for you. If the Reusable type you are commissioning is not on the list, please email us at support@periva.com and we will add it. The commissioning process is typically a one-time action for a Reusable and its Tag.
6. Assign Products
This step associates a Reusable container and its Periva Tag with the product that goes into it. Go to Account -> Business dashboard -> Operations -> Restock/Refill. Select the product the Reusable is being filled with, the weight/volume/count and the best before date.
This enables customers from finding expiration dates by scanning the Tag. It also establishes the date by which the Reusable is due for return.
7. Prepare
When an order is placed for a product on Periva, you can use the Reusables Tags to prepare the order accurately and more efficiently. Learn more.
8. Reusables Returns
Go to Account -> Business dashboard -> Operations -> Return to scan in Reusables received back from customers. This action releases those customers from possession of the Reusables, back to you. If you are refilling returned Reusables immediately, you can also go straight to the Restock menu and scan the Reusable (see above). This will automatically mark the Reusable as returned.
9. Automatic Credits for Returns
The system automatically applies credits to customers' accounts for returned Reusable items, streamlining the return process and promoting responsible waste management.
